FIELD INSTALLATION FOREMAN 8/1/10

DESCRIPTION: The Field Foreman will direct and perform the work related to industrial mechanical contracting projects. This is a “working” foreman position; activities will include the same as those performed by a Field Mechanic: welding, rigging, millwright, painting, etc., and will frequently require working from ladders and high reaches and working under difficult conditions. Frequent out-of-town travel is also a regular part of this position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
SAFETY – you must know and follow all appropriate safety requirements and ensure your safety and the safety of all those working around you.
QUALITY – it will be your responsibility to achieve the quality requirements for each job and to ensure that you and your crew meet those requirements.
PRODUCTIVITY – you must organize and manage your jobs to achieve the best possible productivity while achieving all safety and quality requirements. This will include utilizing manpower, equipment, materials and vendors.
PROFESSIONALISM – a professional attitude is essential in all your interactions with customers, staff, supervisors and vendors.
MOTIVATING – you will be responsible for advancing your crew’s skills and knowledge, as well as leading your crew by setting a good example with fairness, respect and dignity.
QUALIFICATIONS:
*Minimum five (5) years experience working on industrial mechanical contracting projects
*High level of mechanical aptitude
*Welding, rigging and crane-signaling skills
*Proven leadership characteristics, even-tempered, controlled under pressure and decisive
