Building Community Beyond the Shop Floor: GSM Industrial at the 2025 Golf Outing

Coming Together for a Day of Impact

On September 19, 2025, GSM Industrial joined colleagues, vendors, and friends of the Gooding Group at Foxchase Golf Club for the annual Customer Appreciation Golf Outing. With warm, sunny skies and a full course, the event was about more than golf — it was about strengthening the bonds between industry partners and giving back to the community we’re proud to serve.

Honoring John and Mary Gooding Through Action

This year’s outing carried a special weight. Earlier this fall, we said goodbye to John Gooding, GSM’s second-generation owner, who passed away from dementia. His wife, Mary, had also lost her battle with Alzheimer’s in 2011. Their stories continue to inspire our commitment to a cause that has become central to the Gooding Group Foundation’s mission.

During the outing, the Foundation announced that, together with our participants and sponsors, more than $20,000 was raised in support of the Alzheimer’s Association. In a moment that drew applause and even a few tears, GSM presented a ceremonial check to the Association — then pledged to match the amount and continue matching contributions up to $50,000 by the end of 2025.

The very next day, members of our Industrial team joined the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, proving that this commitment doesn’t stop when the golf outing ends.

A Roof for Latta Memorial Presbyterian Church

Each year, the Great Roof Giveaway provides vital roofing support to a local non-profit. In 2025, the award went to Latta Memorial Presbyterian Church, which will receive nearly $14,000 in roof repairs at no cost. This project will ensure the congregation can continue gathering without worrying about leaks disrupting services or outreach. It’s one more way the Gooding Group Foundation invests in community infrastructure, so local organizations can focus on their missions.

More Than a Golf Tournament

For GSM Industrial, the outing wasn’t just about golf — it was about relationships. From networking with vendors to enjoying friendly competition, the day underscored the strength of our partnerships across trades and industries. And most importantly, it showcased the power of collective giving.

Looking Forward

We are grateful to everyone who joined us at Foxchase and to those who continue to support the Gooding Group Foundation’s initiatives. The impact we made together at this outing will carry forward into the months ahead — on the golf course, in our shops, and across the community.
